Over the past 10 years, the market for organic products in the U.S. has more than doubled. That’s according to the Organic Trade Association, which estimated the category’s sales at a record $67.6 billion in 2022. A farm and mill in Eastern Idaho is bringing back ancient grains. Located in the town of Teton, Grand Teton Ancient Grains grows and sells a variety of grains including einkorn, spelt, emmer, hard white wheat, khorasan, teff, and quinoa – to name a few. “We are an organic family farm and mill restoring ancient grains to the family table,” Co-Founder and President Jade Koyle said. “We grow einkorn and other ancient grains on our farm in Teton, and we ship them all over the world.” Infant nutrition company Once Upon a Farm has entered the dairy category by launching a range of organic A2 milk offerings. Once Upon a Farm’s A2/A2 whole milkshakes are available in three flavors: strawberry crème, triple berry, and banana crème. The range is made with farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, A2/A2 organic whole milk, and is free from added sugar. Funding is underway to help expand organic opportunities for farmers. USDA is awarding close to $10 million dollars to ten projects through its Organic Market Development Grant Program. Simply Organic, a leader in organic herbs, spices, flavors, and seasonings, today announced five recipients of the Simply Organic Giving Fund Grant Program who will receive a collective $150,000 to address food insecurity in their communities this year.
