Why is it important for your brand to celebrate Earth Month and how are you celebrating throughout the month?
At Orgain, we believe that nutritious and best-tasting products start with high-quality ingredients. That’s why we maintain a deep commitment to using only organic ingredients whenever possible, and why Orgain products are made without soy ingredients, are carrageenan-free, non-GMO, and free of all artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives.

What does your brand do to help create a healthier environment and to treat the planet more respectfully every day?
Our organic products contain fewer pesticides. Chemicals such as fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides are widely used in conventional agriculture and residues remain on (and in) the food we eat. Organic products also mean higher antioxidants! Data released in 2005 by the Organic Consumers Association showed that on average, the organic crops studied contained about one-third higher antioxidant content when compared with their conventional counterparts. It also found that levels of specific vitamins and other health-protective compounds were two or three times higher than matched samples of conventional foods.
Organic farming practices are better for the earth! They reduce pollution, conserve water, reduce soil erosion, increase soil fertility, and use less energy. Organically raised animals are not given antibiotics, growth hormones, or fed animal byproducts.
Why is it important for your brand to be organic?
For one, it contains more of the good stuff! Evidence continues to mount for organic crops having more antioxidants and micro nutrients than conventionally grown fruits & veggies.
It also contains less of the bad stuff! We can all agree that we don’t want to consume harmful toxins, right? Organic certification on your food means that it is free of synthetic additives including pesticides, chemical fertilizers, genetically modified organisms… the list goes on!
What does organic do to make the planet healthier?
Organic food is sustainable! Just like we don’t thrive on toxins, neither does the environment. When used in non-organic farming methods, those synthetic additives can seep into the ground, poison water supplies, harm local wildlife, and disrupt the ecosystem. On the contrary, organic farming methods are far more sustainable as they preserve soil integrity and respect biodiversity.
How can consumers celebrate Earth Month?
Support Organic companies! More and more consumers view their spending as a way to “vote” for things that are important to them. When you purchase organic, your dollars support all four of the above reasons and likely a lot more than you realize. Companies that go the extra mile to be certified organic (on top of all the food regulations set forth by the USDA) likely go the extra mile in other ways too.
